2017
The Spark of a Vision
The seed for MedLab Training Institute was planted back in 2017—a dream to create a dedicated
medical and surgical training hub in the Middle East. But it wasn’t until 2021, in the midst of the
COVID-19 pandemic, that the vision became urgent and undeniable.
With borders closed, flights grounded, and healthcare professionals unable to travel for advanced
training, a gap in the system became painfully clear. Surgeons needed access to the latest
techniques and solutions here, not thousands of miles away. That’s when we committed to
building a world-class institute that would sharpen skills, showcase medical innovation, and raise
the standard of medical and surgical care across the region.

2022
Laying the First Stones
We set out to find the perfect home for this bold vision. Every detail mattered—from accessibility to
infrastructure—because this was to be more than a facility; it was to be a regional lifeline for
medical and surgical education.

2023
Gathering the Pioneers
The next step was assembling a team of pioneers—surgeons, educators, and innovators—who
shared the same mission. Together, we translated our vision into blueprints, crafting a design that
blends cutting-edge technology with an environment built for hands-on mastery.

2024
The Green Light
The dream took a giant leap forward as we received initial approvals from the Dubai Health
Authority (DHA) and the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA). Each stamp of
approval brought us closer to opening a door that would never again close to medical progress.

2025
The Birth of MedLab
With construction underway, state-of-the-art equipment installed, and final DHA and KHDA
approvals on the horizon, the MedLab Training Institute is ready to welcome the region’s brightest
medical minds.
From vision to reality, we are here to train, inspire, and elevate Medical and Surgical care for
generations to come.
